Position Objective:
The Vice President, Primary Care & Community Medicine has an integral role as the leader of the regional team that analyzes industry trends and provides detailed oversight and actionable solutions to senior leadership that incorporate all key management areas (talent, clinical, financial and operations) for advancing Luminis Health ambulatory and clinical services.
This service line leader has responsibility for developing, implementing, and ensuring quality operations for CareConnect Now that align with Luminis Health’s mission, vision, and values.
The VP, will develop strategy along with organizational partners to provide health education and value added, well-being services in the practices in our region to help both patient and community members improve their health.
This role will be accountable for leading the development and execution of the operational and growth strategy that supports the strategic vision, growth initiatives and leadership principles.
The VP will directly partner with other Service Line Vice Presidents in shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of various Luminis Health medical group practice sites.
This role will lead the formation and implementation of operational plans to coordinate a vision around team-based care.

- Collaborates with physicians and clinical leadership of other initiatives in program planning and the implementation of strategic organizational goals.
- Provides executive leadership and administrative oversight to the operations of assigned departments.
- Establishes appropriate practice standards, service expectations and productivity targets. Ensures that human, financial and material resources are efficiently utilized.
- Implements new programs and services that ensure contemporary and innovative care delivery by providing clinical and operational leadership to the design of new patient care delivery programs and services. Establishes implementation plans and resource specifications for the roll out of new programs and services.
- Establishes the necessary infrastructure for maintaining an environment of continuous improvement by monitoring, identifying trends and taking action to ensure optimal patient, physician and staff satisfaction. Utilizes interdepartmental groups to design more effective work processes to reduce error, address safety issues and mitigate risks.
- Implements appropriate management structure processes and systems to deliver support and clinical services which encourage collaborative, consensus decision making and builds understanding between disciplines.
- Participates in executive leadership of the organization as a full member of the operational team. Provides leadership in the strategic planning of the organization as well as support and clinical service goals and direction.
- Provides an environment that enables optimal performance of staff and encourages growth and development by promoting leaders into appropriate positions, preparing a strategic personnel plan addressing short and long term staff requirements and allocating development and educational resources to ensure a ready supply of competent staff for current operations and future growth.
- Participates in developing a plan for delivery of superior patient care services by assuring that care processes are integrated across operational departments to reduce rework, errors and inefficiencies.
- Responsible for clinical and administrative leadership in matters of expansion planning, renovations, new programs and capital expenditures.
- The VP, Primary Care and Community Medicine is responsible for leading the long-term development and success of the CareConnect Now and is a champion of change, continuously identifying, developing, and implementing methods to improve the efficiency, safety, financial performance, and quality of the services provided to patients, family members, and referring physicians.
- Oversees all clinical, technical, business, support and regulatory activities around telehealth programs in the area of primary care and community medicine.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Masters in health care related field and/or MBA with health care related experience and eight years of successful, progressive leadership and management experience in an acute care delivery system required.
- BS and/or associated credentials in clinical field desirable.
- Experience in primary care and value based care
