  • Interpret diagnostic studies (e.g., MRIs, CTs, X-rays) to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Perform and assist with in-office procedures, including spinal injections and minor interventions.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, surgical and non-surgical treatment options, post-operative care, and recovery plans.
  • Collaborate closely with attending spine surgeons and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Ensure timely referrals and follow-up care across the continuum.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Maryland license and national certification (NCCPA for PAs; board certification for NPs).
  • Eligible or currently licensed as a PA or NP in the state of Maryland.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required. Spine, orthopedic, or surgical first assist experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity orthopedic environment.
  • Excellent communication, diagnostic reasoning, and collaborative care skills.

Why Join Luminis Health – Spine Division?

  • Be part of a high-profile orthopedic spine team with a strong reputation in the Lanham/Bowie and greater Maryland region.
  • Work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment that prioritizes surgical innovation, evidence-based care, and professional growth.
  • Enjoy a balanced mix of surgical and clinical responsibilities with ample opportunities for continuing education and mentorship.
  • Contribute to the care of a diverse patient population with both complex and routine spine conditions.
