Duty Chaplain
Position Objective:
Collaborates with the health care team as the resource person for Spiritual Care for patients, families, staff and community.
Essential Job Duties:

- Assesses patients/families spiritual care needs, contributes and updates the patient care plan as needed in relation to spiritual care needs.
- Provides education to staff in the fields of spiritual care.
- Acts as liaison to enhance existing relationships with other spiritual care providers.
- Maintain records in accordance with CPE requirements.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college of university.
- A Masters of Divinity degree or equivalent from an accredited educational facility. (Endorsement of faith group).
- Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training or equivalent preferred.

There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
Physical Demands – Light
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
