Position Objective:

This position provides analytical and consultation support for the organizational financial planning process and works collaboratively with finance colleagues to provide optimal business partner relationships with clinical and operational leaders across the organization.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Perform as Primary Subject Matter Expert and Finance Consultant for nursing and other hospital based areas as needed.
2. Administration of budgeting platform & all associated modules including rolling the system forward for each budget year as well as routinely reconciling data and report writing.
3. Mentor Business Partner colleagues as needed providing training and troubleshooting services.
4. Oversee the budget process and works with managers to produce and manage effective budgets.
5. Provides guidance to managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure accurate, compliant and useful financial reporting is produced
6. Acts as an advisor to management on regulations and other matters that may impact the financial activities of the company
7. Coordinates the collection of relevant volume data for AAMC organizations to support revenue and expense planning.
8. Prices salary values based on FTE mix, merit adjustments and other adjustments that may impact salary expense. Performs reconciliation to ensure year over year change in FTEs correlate to the change in salary expense. Develops relevant and timely reporting of FTE information.
9. Works with department leadership to facilitate timely and complete capital and operating expense requests review (ex: SBARs)
10. Plays key role in the development, preparation and consolidation of budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.
11. Lead long range plan forecasting process in concert with FP&A management and executive leadership.
12. Generates clear, concise, complete and timely reports, as requested, for management evaluation through the planning process.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 10years in financial planning, financial analysis or accounting which included budgeting.
• At least 5 years in health care.
• Strong knowledge of computer software programs and solid analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Working knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work day under minimal supervision. Ability to work in stressful and demanding environment.
