Position Objective:
Directs the planning and administration of the benefits programs including health, dental, life and disability insurance, pension, tax deferred annuity, FMLA and related programs. Assures compliance with legal requirements; prepares and files required legal documents. Researches trends, prepares cost estimates and recommends plan modifications or improvements. Directs HR Reporting and Information Systems is the subject matter expert of HRIS platform for workforce management. Responsibilities are to process employee data, produce HR-related reports, and also ensure compliance with related local, state & national regulations. Responsible for all security administration, business process design, compensation setup, end user experience and reporting and analytics. This position is focused in data analysis and compilation, also accountable for the development and distribution of critical reports/dashboards to the organization. This position ensures accurate best practice business process/workflows and other system dependencies are in place within the HRIS to support the administrators of the recruitment platform, compensation programs, annual performance reviews, benefits administration and open enrollment, payroll and reporting efforts. Provides strategic direction for HRIS and workforce metrics and reporting.

- Administers the health system's benefit programs according to Luminis Health policy ensuring sound management practices. Serves as a primary resource in relation to HRIS setup and maintenance including efforts as it relates to HRIS implementation and training.
- Develops innovative solutions to the problems of meeting employee and health system needs. Designs or modifies benefit plans to adapt to changing climates and fiscal demands.
- Determines effectiveness of current benefit plans. Stays up to date and knowledgeable on technical, legislative and tax developments.
- Initiates benefit plan changes by developing announcement materials, booklets, slides, etc. Organizes and conducts meetings. Revises benefit communications as needed.
- Identify risks or opportunities and recommend changes to processes which improve the delivery of HR services to the organization, responsible for training the trainers on HRIS system and processes, updating data and maintaining data integrity in HRIS.
- Plans and files necessary reports and documents pursuant to regulations with governmental agencies such as the IRS, DOL, EEO-1, and other state and federal organizations. Works with the third-party vendor on medical plan enrollment compliance by overseeing quarterly dependent validation audits.
- Acts as a liaison between employees and management on benefit issues. Handles employee/management inquiries and complaints. Ensures equitable and courteous resolution. Manages relations between health system and various vendors.
- Assumes administrative responsibilities for updating benefit plan records. Arranges for payment of premiums, contributions, and funding for all plans. Compiles and distributes required reports as needed.
- Responsible for developing annual benefit budget. Provides ongoing management reports on plan activity.
- Oversees the FMLA program ensuring accurate administration and adherence to all regulations.
- Responsible for administering the retirement programs (401(a), 403(b), 401(k) and frozen defined benefit plan) in accordance with best practice and federal regulations. Oversees annual audits.
- Leads & facilitates moderately complex HR business projects involving systems and/or business processes to obtain business goals and operational objectives with oversight from senior team members or management.
- Possess detailed knowledge of two or more HR business functions (Staffing, Compensation, Payroll, Employee Relations, Leadership & Professional Development, Benefits, and Workforce Analytics). Guides the strategy implementation in the pursuit of business solutions.
- Partner with leaders across the organization to develop and deliver HR related dashboard communications.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- B.A. or B.S. in business administration, economics or related field required, masters preferred.
- Three to five year’s substantive experience in Human Resources management.
- At least three years’ experience in employee benefits compliance and minimum of 5 years of HRIS experience, API preferred.
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to influence and manage change and deal effectively with change management initiatives.
- Strong planning and project management skills.
- Experience in understanding and translating the priorities of the business and integrating the HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business.
- Track record of strong business partnership and cross functional collaboration within a dynamic, fast paced environment; a strategic leader who takes initiative and ownership.
- Advanced experience with the building and maintenance of calculated fields is strongly preferred.
- Strong technical and working knowledge of HR systems, applications, theory and practice.
- Advanced proficiency with data conversion and mapping.
- In depth understanding of SQL and relational database design.
- Knowledge of security administration and analytics strongly preferred.

Physical Demands -
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
