Echocardiography Technologist
Position Objective:
Safely and accurately performs and reports echocardiology tests according to approved organizational procedures and productivity standards.
Essential Job Duties:

- Monitors supply levels, moves supplies to specified storage areas within the department, and maintains the integrity of the supplies.
- Recognizes artifacts and eliminates probable source; troubleshoots minor equipment problems. Alerts team when clinical data could be compromised.
- Maintains equipment in a safe and sanitary condition.
- Operates equipment in accordance with all department safety guidelines & maintains activity and usage logs as required/needed.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Specialized training in Echocardiography.
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Two years’ experience performing adult echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
RequiredLicense/Certifications:
Registered Echo Sonographer (RCVT, RDCS) with the ARDMS
Current Healthcare Provider BLS -CPR issued by the American Heart Association
Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands:
There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
Physical Demands -
Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
