Position Objective:
Reporting to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Reporting at Luminis Health, this position will oversee capital & operating budgeting, forecasting, compliance, pricing, and cost reporting activities. The role will involve conducting in-depth financial analysis of regulatory and reimbursement changes affecting LHAAMC, LHDCMC, and LH McNew. This position will collaborate closely with leadership across Luminis Health to develop, evaluate, and recommend strategic financial analyses that drive growth and optimize financial performance. Additionally, lead initiatives aimed at enhancing performance in various HSCRC programs to improve overall operational efficiency and financial outcomes.

Revenue Cycle Analysis:
- Develop and execute strategies for optimizing HSCRC payment policies, reducing costs, enhancing reimbursement, and conducting comprehensive financial analysis.
- Monitor and assess regulatory changes and payer reimbursement models to identify potential risks and opportunities for revenue enhancement.
- Ensure price compliance by reviewing volume and charge data, making recommendations for charge adjustments, and keeping senior management informed of variances in targeted revenues.
- · Lead the completion and review of regulatory filings, including but not limited to HSCRC Annual Filings and Medicare cost reports.
- Actively participate in MHA and HSCRC workgroups to stay informed on regulatory changes impacting reimbursement and revenue and communicate key financial impacts to senior leadership.
- Prepare and submit comment letters on behalf of Luminis Health regarding proposed changes in HSCRC programs or policies.
- Analyze trends in monthly revenue deductions, aiming to optimize net patient revenue.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Train, manage, & lead a team of Finance Business Partners.
- Lead the annual capital budget, operating budget, and long-range planning process for Financial Planning, reporting up to the Sr. Director with progress and concerns.
- Identify and recommend financial and operational improvements to achieve organizational financial targets.
- Lead financial review results with individual executive teams for each entity.
- Provide guidance and strategic recommendations to the Sr. Director on income statements, including strategies for monthly revenue adjustments.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to create annual budgets, monitor results, and provide recommendations.
- Manage the efficient collection, analysis, and maintenance of all data necessary to facilitate the financial planning process.
- · Generate clear, concise, complete and timely reports, as requested, for management evaluation through the planning process.
- Support the design and implementation process of a strategic analytics framework to align with organization-wide decision-making.
- Ad Hoc reporting as needed by Sr. Director, Financial Planning & Analysis and review of reporting of analysts prior to distribution.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Healthcare, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- 7-10+ years of progressively responsible related experience in healthcare reimbursement regulations, cost accounting, and operations including 3-5 years of management experience.
- Requires extensive knowledge of HSCRC and Medicare regulations, health care planning, budgeting, pricing, and hospital organization.
- Requires a professional level of knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work under minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of computer software programs.
