Blood Donor Center Recruiter - Lead
Position Objective:
Responsible for the blood donation program’s overall recruitment efforts in accordance with program’s standards and goals.

- Espouses the principals of Lean Thinking and creates a work environment that positively promotes continuous process improvement. Explores opportunities to add value to job (innovative ideas) to benefit the organization and taking ownership of the outcome. Proactively finds other work-related tasks during low census.
- Schedules donors to best meet the needs of the donor in alignment with the strategic goals of the organization. Assesses current blood inventory levels to ensure blood needs of the hospital are met.
- Pulls recruitment lists based on Donor Center and mobile schedule and aligns with inventory needs. Distributes recruitment duties to individual recruiters.
- Recruits donor by a variety of media to include phone, email, letters, and social media.
- In conjunction with Coordinator, Blood Donor Recruitment, implements new recruitment techniques.
- Manages the donor database in the computer.
- Monitors daily metrics regarding donor recruitment and its effectiveness.
- Actively participate in the laboratory quality plan/program (ex. investigative reports, notification of delays, etc.).
- Participate in the training of new staff and volunteers by serving as a mentor and technical resource.
- Enhances the laboratory and hospital reputation by demonstrating a courteous and professional demeanor during all encounters.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook functionality.
- Preferred: Microsoft Power Point functionality.
Required License/Certifications:
- Current valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel to various donation sites.
