Position Objective
The Luminis Health Grants Officer role is to identify and engage appropriate government, private and corporate funders in support of Luminis Health and associated entities. These projects will include, but not limited to, those clinical initiatives which support Vision 2030.

- Builds strategic and dedicated effort towards building partnerships with Federal, State, Corporate and Foundation entities is necessary to leverage the stature and reputation of Luminis Health as a regional leader in healthcare and oversees all aspects of grant program.
- Pursues external funding opportunities and serves as a clearinghouse for managed grant activity (with the exception of research grants) to ensure coordination and compliance.
- Manages all grants. Develops and engages potential funders and grant partners i.e. private family foundations, government, grassroots, civic, religious, etc. Develops funder relationships with federal and state agencies, corporations and foundation offices. Coordinates internal grant teams for proposal submission. Researches grant opportunities locally, regionally, and nationally, writes and reports on all grants within the Foundation. Guides grant management consultants.
- Participates in tours, meetings and presentations with funders when necessary.
- Partners with Finance and HR for compliance issues and grant management. Works with project managers for grant compliance, budgeting and reporting. Develops policies and procedures to be shared with all stakeholders. Standardizes processes around grant accounting procedures and award set-up. Supports program management staff by maintaining schedules and meeting reporting requirements for programs.
- Evaluates current and future technology-financial compliance, program management. Maintains Master Grant List in order to track deadlines, awards, rejections, etc. Formalizes a process for grant opportunity identification and communication to departments and senior leadership.
- Writes and edits grant narratives, proposals and/or applications for grants; works with Luminis Health staff to gather information for grant applications; participates in and/or manage entirely, the writing/editing of grant applications. Writes and/or edits various proposal sections, templates and other proposal-related documents.
- Coordinates project manager/grant team; works with grant team in serve as collection point of application materials; assembles final grant applications for submission; reviews final package for grant application requirements. Manages end to end development of all grant applications, including solicitation analysis, compliance oversight, strategy development, resource coordination, framework, timelines, guidelines, communications, coordination of review and proposals. Coordinates internal grant teams for proposal submission. Ensures that all aspects of proposal responses are complete, consistent and comply with requirements. Ultimately responsible for final submission.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in grant research and writing or similar experience.
- Experience with PeopleSoft a plus.
- BA/BS in related field.

Physical Demands –
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
